On Ukrainian Infantry Day, participants of the Junior Diplomatic Academy attended a meaningful event at the National Military History Museum of Ukraine, where a commemorative stamp honoring the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Transcarpathian Brigade was officially canceled. The atmosphere was calm yet deeply focused—centered not just on the symbol itself, but on the people and experiences behind it.

The new stamp release by Ukrposhta highlighted the brigade’s history—from defending Luhansk Airport and fighting in Debaltseve to carrying out missions in southern Ukraine following the full-scale invasion. These moments reflected a timeline of decisions, resilience, and responsibility that earned the brigade national recognition.

What made the event especially powerful were the personal stories shared—accounts of motivation, conscious choice, and the journey into service. They were not presented with exaggerated heroism, but with honesty and depth.

Yaroslav Tynchenko, Deputy Director for Research at the National Military History Museum of Ukraine, shared his personal connection to the brigade and the story behind its name, adding both historical depth and a human perspective. Nataliia Mukhina, Head of Philatelic Products at Ukrposhta, presented the commemorative stamp.

A charity auction and a raffle of gifts from the brigade served as a meaningful gesture of support, bringing participants together not just as observers, but as active contributors to supporting Ukraine’s defenders.

Rita Kosyak, Head of the Project Office at the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth, concluded:

“We are grateful to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their courage, protection, and daily efforts that make events like this possible. We also extend special thanks to the Director of the National Military History Museum of Ukraine for the invitation and the opportunity to be part of an event that united memory, gratitude, and the present.”
