Students of the Junior Diplomatic Academy of the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth visited the exhibition project “Invitation of the Future” by the distinguished Ukrainian abstract artist Petro Bevza, held at the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine.
The event brought together art, diplomacy, and international dialogue, offering the Academy’s students another opportunity to see how culture can foster understanding between people and nations. The artist’s luminous works, filled with inner energy, inspired reflections on the future, shared values, and Ukraine’s role in the contemporary world.
The program included not only a guided exploration of the exhibition but also the presentation of the landmark publication “300 Artists of Ukraine Across 300 Years.” The book’s central idea is to “Ukrainianize what is ours and make the unseen visible.” It served as a powerful reminder of the importance of discovering, preserving, and promoting Ukraine’s cultural heritage both at home and internationally.
Participants also watched excerpts from the documentary “Petro Bevza. Towards the Light,” which explores the artist’s creative journey and his philosophy of art.

“This is an exhibition that brings victory closer in our hearts,” emphasized Ihor Ostash, Director of the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine.
The event was made even more significant by its distinguished international audience. Representatives of the diplomatic corps and Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Argentina, China, Canada, Mexico, Bulgaria, Albania, Montenegro, Switzerland, and Spain attended the exhibition.
Their presence served as a vivid example of how culture can bring people from different countries together around shared values, mutual understanding, and respect for art.

For the students of the Junior Diplomatic Academy, participation in events like this is an important part of their educational journey. Diplomacy is not limited to negotiations and international agreements. It is also about understanding different cultures, finding common ground, and building bridges of mutual understanding. That is why engagement with cultural diplomacy initiatives is an essential component of developing future leaders and global citizens.
“Cultural diplomacy begins with the ability to recognize meanings that transcend language. Art often becomes the universal language that can unite people from different countries more effectively than any official document. For our students, this was an opportunity to see how international dialogue is shaped through culture and how Ukraine is speaking to the world today through the language of art”, – said Rita Kosiak, Head of the Project Office of the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth.
