Students at the Junior Diplomatic Academy explored one of today’s most relevant topics: artificial intelligence. Expert Yurii Verzhanskyi led the lecture, highlighting how AI affects the information environment, including its ability to generate realistic fake news, videos, and other content that misleads audiences and influences public opinion. The rapid spread of such misinformation presents serious challenges, with potential political and social repercussions.



The lecture also covered technologies designed to detect misinformation, alongside the crucial role of critical thinking skills in discerning truth from manipulation. The speaker stressed that in today’s interconnected world, where everyone participates in the global information network, the ability to spot fake content and defend against manipulation is a vital skill.



Rita Kosyak, head of the Junior Diplomatic Academy, highlighted that these sessions help students gain both a solid understanding of theory and hands-on skills for navigating and analyzing information in today’s digital world.
