Junior Diplomatic Academy students attended a presentation titled “Innovative Technologies for Enriching Tourist Experiences” at the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine. The event was hosted by the Academy’s Center for Public Diplomacy, organized with support from Tamara Tochytska, the cultural coordinator of the Association of Wives of Ukrainian Diplomats.

The presentation highlighted a virtual reconstruction of a Trypillia culture settlement, developed by researcher Maksym Yavtushenko. Junior Diplomatic Academy students explored one of Ukraine’s most mysterious ancient civilizations and discovered how modern technology can bring historical heritage vividly to life.

The VR model let Junior Diplomatic Academy students virtually step into the heart of an ancient Trypillia settlement, explore its streets, peer inside homes, and witness the daily life and tools of its inhabitants. This immersive experience demonstrated how digital technology can bring national history to life and inspire innovative cultural tourism experiences.

By blending digital technology with historical context, participants were able to gain a deeper appreciation of ancient Trypillia’s cultural heritage while also seeing how such immersive formats could shape the future of cultural tourism.

Rita Kosyak, head of the Junior Diplomatic Academy, emphasized that initiatives like this show young people how innovation can be a powerful tool in public diplomacy and inspire them to develop their own projects that blend culture, technology, and communication.
