Attacks on Ukraine’s peaceful cities continue without pause. Every day brings destruction and loss. The aggressors aim to intimidate and crush the Ukrainian people, but this war reminds us to cherish every moment of life.

For this reason, the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth hosted a charitable event of the Junior Diplomatic Academy on Kyiv Day, marking an important milestone in the students’ learning journey. Participants received course completion certificates and gifts, symbolizing collaboration and engagement.

Borys Humeniuk, the founding rector of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, and Hennadii Nadolenko, rector of the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy at the MFA of Ukraine, personally welcomed the students of the Junior Diplomatic Academy. They stressed that now, more than ever, Ukraine requires skilled and highly professional diplomats, and that those who choose this path must be dedicated to their country and serve the Ukrainian people with commitment and integrity.

The waltz, practiced from the very first choreography lessons, was more than just a dance — it embodied hope, faith in the future, and a love of life. As the music began, all that had been learned, felt, and experienced throughout the course flowed into every graceful movement. The performance left a lasting impression, made even more poignant when an air raid siren sounded on the final notes…

MDA students heard the inspiring and motivational speeches from their guests while in a shelter, a moment that underscored the importance of remembering – and never forgiving – the enemy for the suffering inflicted on our country.

Oksana Dobrovolska, Director of the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth, warmly welcomed the MDA students, expressing gratitude to parents for their trust and recognizing the teachers who brought the project to life. “Today, the Palace is proud of its students, and tomorrow Ukraine will be proud of you as its capable representatives on the world stage. We are delighted that your first steps toward achieving this dream took place within our Junior Diplomatic Academy.”

Ukraine’s future is in our hands. The message from the Junior Diplomatic Academy students is truly inspiring: “All wars are ultimately settled through diplomacy. The restoration of Ukraine, the recognition of its sovereignty, and the support of partner nations depend on the skill and dedication of professional diplomats. We are children of our country, and we have consciously chosen to serve Ukraine through the path of diplomacy.”

The parents delivered a touching greeting, expressing their heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in the project and praising the skills and knowledge their children had acquired.
The event also featured a charity auction, with all proceeds going to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine – a genuine gesture of appreciation and respect for those protecting the nation and enabling youth to learn, dream, and thrive.

Rita Kosyak, head of the Junior Diplomatic Academy, emphasized: “The Academy isn’t just about etiquette or international affairs. It’s about learning to communicate, find compromise, and build bridges rather than walls. Our students develop a global mindset, act thoughtfully, and express themselves persuasively. Already involved in international events and projects, they are putting communication skills into practice. They are motivated, curious, and always eager to learn. None of this would be possible without their dedication, your support, dear parents, and the commitment of our dedicated teaching team.”
