Students of the Junior Diplomatic Academy explore Japanese culture at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute

Exploring cultures from around the world is a key focus at the Junior Diplomatic Academy. That’s why its students were especially excited to attend the annual Japanese culture festival “Japanese Autumn — 2025,” held at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

1. During the event, the young diplomats immersed themselves in traditional Japanese arts and discovered what makes the country truly unique.

Participants from the Junior Diplomatic Academy took part in expert-led workshops and lectures, joined Japanese language sessions, experienced a traditional tea ceremony, dance and karate demonstrations, listened to authentic Japanese instruments, and even tried their hand at playing Go.

The festival gave our Junior Diplomatic Academy students a wonderful chance to discover Japan and truly feel the spirit of its cultural traditions,” noted Rita Kosyak, who leads the project at the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth.
