While in Sweden, Junior Diplomatic Academy students from the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth had the opportunity — made possible by the Kyiv International Relations Office and the Department of Education and Science, as part of the Stockholm–Kyiv sister city partnership — to meet with Ukraine’s Ambassador to Sweden, Svitlana Zalishchuk.

Symbolically, it was on this very day that Svitlana Zalishchuk formally presented her credentials to His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.
The Ambassador explained to the young diplomats that this ceremony is more than a formality — it is a meaningful moment to reaffirm Ukraine’s sincere appreciation for Sweden’s steadfast political, military, and humanitarian support since the onset of the full-scale invasion.

During her audience with the King, the Ambassador of Ukraine highlighted that the relationship between the two countries is solid and proven over time, and that the bonds between their peoples have grown even stronger amid this particularly challenging period for Ukraine.

“The Junior Diplomatic Academy follows a unique educational approach, where theory and practice go hand in hand. Most importantly, shaping core values, fostering humanistic principles, and nurturing a well-educated, culturally aware generation is supported by committed public officials, university lecturers, and members of Ukraine’s diplomatic corps. This gives us inspiration and reinforces our belief in young people and in Ukraine’s future,” noted Rita Kosyak, head of the Junior Diplomatic Academy project.
