A lecture on the origins and development of diplomacy was held at the Junior Diplomatic Academy.

Students explored how key legal codes, including the Code of Hammurabi and Ruska Pravda, shaped the foundations of international relations and contributed to the regulation of conflicts.

During the lecture, students of the Junior Diplomatic Academy took part in a practical session where they stepped into the role of speakers. One of the participants, Pavlo, delivered a speech as Demosthenes, gaining firsthand experience of the challenges of public speaking.
This exercise went beyond working with voice and text; it helped students understand how to use persuasion effectively, a key skill in diplomatic negotiations.

One of the students, Yaroslava, shared her impressions, noting that visual examples made the material easier to understand and more engaging. She also highlighted the interactive format of the session, which encouraged meaningful interaction between lecturers and students, greatly enhancing the overall experience.

The session concluded with an engaging discussion, where participants explored the role of the Code of Hammurabi and Ruska Pravda in shaping the principles of international law, helping them better understand the importance of diplomacy in today’s world.
