Within the Junior Diplomatic Academy program, a session titled “Goal Setting and Driving Change” was conducted by Oleksandr Sudarkin, a lecturer at MIM Business School and Director of the MBA program.

During the session, future diplomats explored key topics such as:
Strategic goal setting — practical methods and tools for defining both long-term and short-term objectives, including the use of SMART criteria.
Change management — how to guide teams through change, address resistance, and build a culture that embraces innovation.

Motivation and engagement — understanding the leader’s role in driving change and inspiring teams.
Strategy execution — turning defined goals into clear, actionable steps.
Oleksandr Sudarkin is a well-recognized expert in strategic management, business modeling, and change leadership. His insights provide participants with valuable, practical knowledge they can apply immediately.

Participants described the session as engaging, insightful, and highly practical. Concepts that once felt complex and abstract became clear and easy to apply. The students especially valued the chance to put their knowledge into practice right away — in a supportive environment where mistakes were part of learning and meaningful feedback was provided.

The Junior Diplomatic Academy’s strategic mission — to prepare young people capable of confidently representing Ukraine internationally through diplomacy and effective communication — is becoming increasingly practical and tangible. The development of young leaders who think strategically, act with awareness and responsibility, and are driven to make a positive impact continues.
