First-year Junior Diplomatic Academy students from the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth attended a lecture titled “The Language of Culture: Cinema, Poetry, and Theater as Tools of Diplomacy,” which opened up new perspectives on international relations.

Taking part in an event hosted by the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House marked an important step for Junior Diplomatic Academy students in recognizing the role of diplomacy in today’s world.

The lecture featured the following speakers:
• Olena Babii — public and cultural diplomacy expert at the Polish Institute in Kyiv and expert of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation
• Alla Serhiiko — renowned Ukrainian stage and film actress, People’s Artist of Ukraine
• Olha Klymenko — Chair of the NGO “New Ukrainian Drama”
• Volodymyr Yurchenko — Head of the Youth Council under the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine
• Dmytro Kyrychenko — Head of the Kyiv City Youth Council and a youth advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine


The session inspired future diplomats to see cinema, theater, and poetry as a universal language that transcends translation. It highlighted how creativity and cultural awareness are essential to achieving the Junior Diplomatic Academy’s strategic goals and to shaping a new generation of Ukrainian leaders ready to represent their country effectively on the international stage.
