Junior Diplomatic Academy students take part in an international event dedicated to International Mother Language Day!

February 14, 2026

  1. Junior Diplomatic Academy students from the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth, in preparation for the event “The Voices of Youth: Rhymes of Freedom” at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, created paintings inspired by their emotional responses to Ukrainian music.

The exhibition will be presented as part of International Mother Language Day, uniting young people, diplomats, cultural institutions, and international organizations around shared values of linguistic diversity, freedom of speech, and cultural identity.

  1. For Junior Diplomatic Academy students, it was a valuable opportunity to engage in an international initiative, represent Ukraine’s active youth, and deepen their understanding of the native language as a cornerstone of national identity, dignity, and freedom.

  1. As Rita Kosyak, Head of the Junior Diplomatic Academy, noted: “Taking part in events like these is an important step in shaping a new generation of aware, responsible, and globally minded young diplomats.

We are proud of our students and their active civic engagement!”
